From cold-heading raw steel wire to heat-treated finished bolts, every step runs under strict in-house process control — ensuring the dimensional accuracy and strength grade printed on every head marking.
Welding studs (DIN 32501) are threaded studs with a flat weld base and a small central projection (nib) that is fused to a sheet or plate by resistance (or drawn-arc) welding, giving a threaded fixing point on one side of a panel with no hole and nothing protruding on the other. They are widely used in automotive bodywork, appliance and enclosure manufacture, HVAC ducting, switchgear and sheet-metal fabrication, where a captive threaded stud is needed quickly and cleanly. Carbon steel studs are usually copper-flashed for good weld conductivity; stainless versions suit visible and corrosive applications.
Set the stud in the welding gun or electrode, press the projection against a clean, dry sheet and pass the weld current — the nib melts and fuses the base to the workpiece in a fraction of a second. Match the sheet thickness and material to the stud size and set the weld energy from a test coupon; a good weld shows a full ring of expelled metal around the base. Let the joint cool before loading, do not paint or contaminate the weld area beforehand, and once welded tighten the mating nut to the required torque.
Cold-formed from weldable low-carbon steel to DIN 32501 and copper-flashed for weld conductivity, with every batch traceable to raw material certificates. Thread and weld-base projection are gauge-checked and each lot passes dimensional inspection before packaging; EN 10204 3.1 material certificates are available on request.
