From cold-heading raw steel wire to heat-treated finished bolts, every step runs under strict in-house process control — ensuring the dimensional accuracy and strength grade printed on every head marking.
Nylon insert lock nuts (DIN 985) carry a nylon collar at the top that grips the bolt thread, creating friction that resists loosening under vibration — widely used in automotive, machinery, appliances and any joint subject to movement. The nylon insert also gives a degree of sealing against moisture, and provides prevailing-torque locking without damaging the bolt thread.
Run the bolt through until it bites into the nylon collar, then tighten to the specified torque. The bolt should fully engage and ideally protrude through the nylon. Note the temperature limit — the nylon insert is rated to about 120°C; use an all-metal lock nut above that. For safety-critical joints, fit a fresh nut each time to guarantee full locking force.
Manufactured from carbon steel to property class 6, 8 or 10 per ISO 898-2 with a PA66 nylon insert, produced to DIN 985. Every batch is traceable to raw material certificates; each run passes 100% dimensional and locking-torque inspection; EN 10204 3.1 certificates available on request.
