From cold-heading raw steel wire to heat-treated finished bolts, every step runs under strict in-house process control — ensuring the dimensional accuracy and strength grade printed on every head marking.
A three-prong T-nut is a threaded barrel with a flange carrying three sharp claws that press into wood, plywood or composite panels to give a flush, re-usable machine thread. As a bolt is tightened the prongs bite and stop the nut spinning, turning a drilled hole into a metal thread in material that cannot be tapped. They are a light-to-medium-duty, economical fixing for furniture, cabinets, plywood fixtures, speaker boxes, jigs and general panel work. Zinc-plated steel suits general indoor use; stainless versions suit damp and outdoor timber.
Drill the barrel clearance hole through the panel and press or tap the T-nut in from the back until the flange sits flush and all three prongs are fully buried — a smear of glue in the hole adds pull-out strength in softwood, and counterboring the flange gives a fully flush back. Fit from the hidden face. Do not over-torque in thin or soft panels or the prongs can pull through; add a washer under the bolt head on the face side. For joints assembled and disassembled often, or carrying more load, use a four-prong (jaw) T-nut for extra grip.
Formed from austenitic stainless steel — A2 (AISI 304) or A4 (AISI 316) — with a threaded barrel and three press-in prongs, with thread and prongs checked and every batch traceable to raw material certificates. Each lot passes dimensional inspection before packaging; EN 10204 3.1 material certificates are available on request.
