From cold-heading raw steel wire to heat-treated finished bolts, every step runs under strict in-house process control — ensuring the dimensional accuracy and strength grade printed on every head marking.
Socket head cap screws (DIN 912) have a cylindrical head driven by an internal hex (Allen) key, delivering high clamp load from a compact, recessed head where an open wrench can’t reach or a flush, clean finish is required. High-strength grade 12.9 alloy versions are standard in machine tools, dies and moulds, jigs, fixtures and hydraulic equipment; stainless versions suit food, medical, marine and outdoor assemblies. The small head and deep socket allow neat counterbored, flush-mounted joints.
Drive with the correct-size metric hex key or bit fully seated in the socket to avoid rounding it out; grade 12.9 screws develop very high clamp loads, so tighten with a torque wrench to the specified value. For counterbored joints, confirm the counterbore diameter and depth suit the head (dk × k) so it seats flush. A thread-locker or spring/serrated washer helps on vibration-prone joints; stainless screws benefit from anti-seize to prevent thread galling.
Manufactured from alloy steel (SCM435 / 10.9-grade steel), heat-treated to property class 12.9, 10.9 or 8.8 per ISO 898-1 and produced to DIN 912 / ISO 4762, with every batch traceable to raw material certificates. Each run passes 100% dimensional and hardness inspection with sample testing before packaging; EN 10204 3.1 material certificates are available on request.
