Product Overview

Application Scenarios

Fully threaded rod (DIN 975 / DIN 976), also called threaded bar or all-thread, is a straight rod threaded along its entire length. Cut to any length and used with two nuts and washers, it forms an adjustable stud or tie between parts — hanging pipework, ducting, cable trays and suspended ceilings, machine bases, U-bolt and clamp assemblies, and general fabrication. It provides a threaded connection wherever a standard-length bolt will not fit. Supplied in 1 m (also 2 m / 3 m) stock lengths and cut to size; stainless versions suit damp, outdoor and corrosive environments.

Installation Notes

Cut the rod to length with a saw or abrasive disc and chamfer or file the end so a nut runs on cleanly — running a nut off the cut end first chases the thread true. Support long spans against sag and use a nut and washer each side of the joint; a nylon-insert lock nut or a second locknut resists loosening under vibration. Match the grade (4.8 for general work, 8.8 / 10.9 for higher load) and the material and finish to the application, using stainless or hot-dip galvanized for outdoor and corrosive exposure.

Material & Certification

Rolled from austenitic stainless steel — A2 (AISI 304) or A4 (AISI 316) — to DIN 975 / DIN 976 and ISO 3506, with every batch traceable to raw material certificates. Straightness and thread are gauge-checked and each lot passes dimensional inspection before packaging; EN 10204 3.1 material certificates are available on request.

Frequently Asked Questions

What length does threaded rod come in?
Threaded rod is supplied in standard stock lengths — most commonly 1 metre, and also 2 m or 3 m — and cut to the length your job needs. Because it is threaded end to end you can cut it anywhere and run a nut onto either cut end. Tell us the size, grade and total length required and we can also supply it pre-cut.
Which strength grade should I choose?
Threaded rod is offered in grade 4.8 for general light-duty work, 8.8 for most structural and machinery use, and 10.9 for higher-load joints. Stainless A2 (304) / A4 (316) trades some strength for corrosion resistance in damp, outdoor or marine use — confirm the grade and material your drawing calls out before ordering.
Do you provide mill/material certificates?
Yes. EN 10204 3.1 material certificates are available on request, along with dimensional inspection reports, for projects requiring documented traceability.
Can you produce non-standard lengths or custom head types?
Yes. Send us your drawing or sample and we will confirm feasibility, material and dimensions before quoting — custom OEM/ODM production is available alongside our standard DIN 975 / DIN 976 range.
